Hi, I'm Dawn Crane and I belong on this side of the lens.
My name is Dawn Crane and I am a professional wedding photographer. Isn't it nice to get a feel for your photographer before you hire them?! Fingers crossed that I'm the photographer for you but I understand that my style is not for everyone and that's okay too. From an outsider's perspective looking in, I'll try to break "me" down in a nutshell so you have a better feeling for if I'm the photographer for you.
I'm easy going, absolutely love what I do and always have fun while making memories. Though I'm far from done learning, I have earned the right to call myself a professional. In 2012, I earned my degree in photographic technology but was far from done. I have since pursued further education specifically in the wedding and portraiture industry and have learned and worked with some of the most talented people in the trade. The education and training
I have earned through my years of experience is something you cannot put a price on.
What will your session be like with me?
Well, "there's a reason I'm on this side of the lens" is something I say often. First, I'm a total goof in front of the lens. It's a total accident, I promise! My recent family pictures are evidence, my face screams "goofy" in every picture. Every once in a while, I can get a little "goofy" while on the correct side of the lens too. It's totally unintentional, I just get really excited when I can see magic happening. Photography is one of the most beautiful and fun activities I can imagine participating in, it's only natural that I share that excitement and enthusiasm with my clients.
The last thing you should know is that an artist is someone who expresses themselves in a medium that touches their heart. I don't always consider myself an artist, but I do know while going through my weddings and sessions, I have a hard time not smiling practically the whole time(cheek cramping is a legit thing.) The emotions I capture with my camera make my heart soar. I fall in love with the experience of capturing the photographs in the first place all over again. I absolutely LOVE
being a photographer and being able to take moments and turn them into forevers.
